What is a blog anyway?  Why is it so important for me to have one to make money? First of all a blog is like your own personal newspaper, you are the reporter, editor, and the star all at the same time. You can create a blog on any subject you want. Think about the things your passionate about, share experiences that you had in your life around your passion, that would be appealing to your audience.

For example, let’s say you have a passion for wines. This would be a great topic, because there are millions of people who like wine just as much as you do. You can start out by saying how you first got interested in different wines, and what makes you so obsessive about this subject. Next to make your blog more appealing, you could get more specific about certain white wines like Chardonnay from California, or Riesling from Germany, and other juicy bits of information on white wines. Now talk about red wines like Merlot, Cabernet and follow the same pattern as the white wines, being as specific as possible. Now that your audience is convinced that you are an expert on the subject, give a list of your personal favorites. See that wasn’t hard was it? When you have a passion about a topic the words come easy and most of all you have fun doing it.

You don’t have to be an expert , to have a blog; you just have to have the desire and a confident opinion, that’s about it. So how exactly can you make money from all this? As you continue putting comments on your blog which are called post, your audience will respond and give you feed back. Your readers will start to generate web traffic to your blog; this is a very good thing! Advertisers, who have a product or service that is targeted to your niche or main topic, in this case wines, will want to buy space on your blog to advertise their product or service. Now you can begin to see that there are ways to make money without a job, blogging is only one way. We will consider other tips to make money with a blog in future posts. Just to recap what is a blog? A blog is way to tell your personal story to the world about a particular subject that interest you. Blogs can be a tremendous tool to earn extra money. Remember opinions are like elbows, almost everybody’s got one; why not turn yours into cash?
